When a member of Turibamwe SACCO passes on, a sum of 1 million Ugx, 5 tents and 500 plastic chairs are given to the lost member's family to use on the day of burial.
Any member who wants to leave the scheme is allowed to formally request withdrawal from the scheme and is then relieved from the charges of the scheme. But it means that the member who has withdrawn from the scheme does not qualify to get the 1 million Ugx and all other additional benefits when that member passes on.
